The game of bowls is often referred to as “An old man’s sport”. Nothing could be further from the truth. Bowls is a highly skilled, highly competitive and highly
entertaining sport which attracts people from all age groups, both male and female. Imber Court Bowling club is one of the most respected clubs in Surrey and can offer a range of activity to meet everyone’s sporting desires and level of competitiveness. Young or old, male or female, whatever your background there are ample opportunities at Imber Court Bowling Club to test your skill and ability at club, district, county and even national level. So come and meet us, have a look for yourself, it may just be the thing for you, whether you are starting out and/or trying a new sport, or have reached the stage in your sporting life where the more energetic sports (football rugby etc) are fast ceasing to be an option. No matter what your physical capabilities are, we can offer an enjoyable, competitive sport in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and in the very best ofcompany.
Your membership of Imber Court Bowling Club, will, on match days, entitle you to use the other recreational facilities offered by the main Metropolitan Police
(Imber Court) Sports Club. However, membership of the bowls club
would also provide you with an opportunity to join the main Sports Club and use their excellent recreational facilities all year round. No need to worry about equipment at this stage as it will all be supplied. So come along and give it a try, after all you have got absolutely nothing to lose. I can’t guarantee that you will be playing at county or national level straight away but who knows what may happen in a couple of years time. What I can guarantee is that you will embark on a thoroughly enjoyable sporting career among a multitude of new friends, that is the bowling fraternity.
